About Us
Katia and Danitza Orendain
We are two sisters born and raised in Mexico living in the UK for over 10 years. Both trained Montessori educators with AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) and MOLAT (Montessori Latinoamerica). We have more than 15 years experience in childcare and bilingual teaching (English in Mexico and Spanish in the UK).
Other qualifications include baby massage instructors trained with IAIM, child and baby yoga certifications with Child Play Yoga and Birthlight.
Danitza has two children of her own, N and S and Katia has Django (her dog).
Cocoon in Margate is our dream project! We started Cocoon when we both lived in London as baby massage instructors, giving courses around the city. We then developed into a small nanny agency where we connected families to experienced loving nannies and babysitters.
When Katia moved to Margate in 2018 she started Cocoon in Margate, offering daytime and evening childcare around the community while studying for her degree, Early Years Studies with Montessori Pedagogy (UEL). In September 2020 Danitza moved to Margate to join forces again and start growing Cocoon into what we always dreamed.
